Text effects in PSP
Make
a new image in PSP with the colour background of your choice and the size
you want.
Click on the text tool
and then somewhere on the new image. Check Antialias and Floating.
Choose the Font and size you want and the Stroke color and Fill color you want. You can alter the Kerning to space out your letters too. Move the arrow right to do this.
Type your text. Click OKKeep the selection floating (the dots should be floating round the text)
Move the text to where you want it. The moving tool looks like arrows in 4 directions.
Now you can muck around with text effects. I chose the buttonize effect. This is the most often used effect for text.
Go to Effects > 3D Effects > Buttonize. You can change the height and width and opacity and see the effects as you do that.
Don't forget to Right click to deselect.
I then decided I wanted the text to be vertical so I chose Image > Rotate then I checked Left and 90 Degrees.
You will see the result on the left.
